Does parabolas stop curving eventually?

Or it's gonna continue on curving until it goes back to the axis of symmetry? My teacher couldn't even answer my question properly. I mean if it keeps on curving, it'll end up like an oval isn't it? or it will stop curving?? I'm confused.
