A guy from my DEP for the AF was 2 pounds over. They told him that he cannot join the AF ever again! True?!?

More than likely what happened is this "guy" was given several opportunities to lose the weight to meet the service standard and failed to do so. Then the recruiter told him he ws being given a dep discharge for failing to meet procurement standards. There are certain waiting periods set for medical disqualfications but this "guy" can get with the service at the end of the waiting period if he meets the standards. I highly doubt they will waste anymore time with him if he has not lost the so called two pounds plus a few extra. I would not let my recruiters waste their time on someone that failed to meet the standards. Especially since the AF Dep is one of the longest of all the services.
