I know it's gross, but help....please?

okay, I know this is super gross, but I'm really curious. Okay, so usually, when I have my period, my blood is really dark, like a burgundy color..but this time 'round, my blood is really bright..It's like a scarlet red color, and it's taken a toll on my mind, so if you know anything about this, please let me know :) thank you!
