Amos 5: 18. Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD... The day of the LORD is darkness and not light.?

It is referring to "the DAY of the Lord" as being dark not to the Lord. The return of Christ will bring judgement and thus will be dark for all who will be judged. God Himself is light though.
